Samoa will celebrate 60 years of Independence on the 1st June 2022 - a huge milestone for Samoa.
Samoa became the first Pacific Island to gain independence from the administration of New Zealand. Since 1962, Samoa's economy has grown significantly and continues to develop. Although small in size and population, Samoa is considered by the World Bank as the Model Economy of the Pacific.
